ARRIVAL GUIDELINES

If you travel by bus to Ohrid the best (sometimes the only) way is first to come to Skopje.

There are two international airports in Macedonia – one in Skopje and the other in Ohrid. Ohrid airport is not much used out of the summer season.

Skopje Airport - Skopje

Skopje airport "Petrovec" is only 25 km away from the city center. There are regular and charter flights from many major European cities to Skopje and Ohrid by domestic and foreign air companies MAT, Adria Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, KLM, Malev, Turkish Airlines, JAT, Czech airlines etc.

There are no bus lines from the airport to Skopje city center (Skopje bus station). Take a taxi and don't accept price which is more than 15 €. Do some barging :-)

Busses (Skopje-Ohrid)

Skopje - Ohrid (via Bitola)

The busses depart from the intercity bus station in Skopje. The distance is about 252 km. The traveling lasts aproximately 4 hours. 

Time of Departures: 06.00; 10.00; 14.00; 16.30

Skopje - Ohrid (via Kicevo)

The busses depart from the Intercity bus station in Skopje. The distance is about 167 km. The traveling lasts aproximately 3 hours. 

Time of Departures: 06.00; 07.30; 09.30; 11.30; 13.30; 14.00; 14.15; 15.00; 16.30; 18.30

The price is approximately 400-600 denars. (1 € = 61.5 denars)

How to get to Hotel “Granit” from Ohrid

To arrive at the hotel ”GRANIT”  from Ohrid, you could use taxi or bus. On every 15 or 20 minutes at the Central Bus Station in Ohrid there are regular bus lines that are operating. You should take the buses on the direction towards St. Naum, Pestani or Elsani. You should take off at Hotel “Granit” bus stop. If you use taxi, the price to the Hotel “Granit”is  approximately 150 denars (2,5 euros).
