Objective of the workshop:
The purpose of the workshop is to help participants of the workshop teach and learn mathematics better by using Connexions for authoring, teaching, and learning.

Topics of the workshop:
The workshop will be a mixture of lecture, demos, and training. There will be lectures describing OERs, specifically about Connexions from the point of view of the student, the teacher, and the author and the importance of a global collaboration platform as well as a virtual laboratory as well as a producer of free books.  There will be talk about the modular structure, the XML coding (especially mathML), and the legal copyright system, Creative Commons. It will be shown how a teacher could assemble a text book from modules already in the Connexions repository and how to create new modules (how to write a book in Connexions).

The topic is related to the use of modern information and communication technologies in mathematics education (both in schools and universities). The idea is to present, to share and to evaluate the experience in the use of modern educational software in classroom as well as beyond classroom.
